Yes. We offer in home immunizations.
However, some families choose to use their insurance for full coverage of their immunizations:
Schedule with us, or if you are unsure of where to go, we will help you find the best local option based on your child's age, vaccine needs, and your insurance or payment preferences.
Yes, Dr. Sarah, as a licensed pediatric nurse practitioner, can prescribe medications during sick visits or well child checks. However, plant-based supplements, including herbal and cannabinoid therapies, are not prescribed medications. They are recommended based on individual needs, safety, available evidence, and state law.
Yes. Balanced Kids offers in-home rapid testing for common pediatric illnesses, including strep, flu, COVID, RSV, and urinary tract infections. When additional lab work is needed, I can process labs that can be collected at home. If a blood draw is required beyond a simple fingerstick, I partner with Fullscript and Quest, allowing families to schedule a convenient time and location for phlebotomy.
If imaging is needed, Balanced Kids partners with RAYUS Radiology, allowing me to order X-rays and other imaging studies directly. Families can choose insurance or cash-pay options through RAYUS, and same-day imaging is often available. All images are read by a board-certified radiologist, with results sent directly to me so we can review the findings together and determine the appropriate next steps for care.
Group physicals are a convenient and cost-effective way to keep kids’ health checks up to date, whether for a neighborhood group, school, sports team, or camp. These sessions allow multiple children to be seen in one setting, reducing costs and saving time for families.
Here’s how it works: Group sessions can be organized by parents coordinating with friends or neighbors, coaches or athletic directors, school nurses or camp leaders, and daycare or homeschool co-ops. We can conduct exams at your home, a school, a gym, or another agreed-upon location.
What’s Required to Set It Up?
The organizer estimates the number of children participating, which determines the overall cost and time needed for the visit. A quiet, clean space is needed to conduct exams (classroom, gym, community room, etc.). Each child must have a completed health history/intake form, their school/sports/camp physical form (if applicable), and a parent or guardian present, or a signed consent form.
How Does Payment Work? Payment is required in advance to reserve your group session. The organizer collects a single group payment (cash, credit, or digital payment—details provided upon booking). We do not bill families individually for group sessions to keep logistics smooth and pricing low. This helps reduce administrative time and ensures we can focus on delivering quality care during the visit.
Why Choose a Group Physical? Saves time and money, keeps kids on track with school, sports, or camp requirements, offers a relaxed, flexible environment, and avoids long clinic waits or last-minute scrambles.
